Individual Therapy

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is characterized by a blend of directness and warmth. I incorporate humor and genuine connection as tools to establish a strong therapeutic rapport with my clients. A fundamental aspect of my practice involves delivering psychoeducation on topics encompassing eating disorders, substance use, and other relevant subjects. In addition to this, I am dedicated to imparting valuable therapeutic skills that empower individuals to navigate their challenges effectively. My aim is to create a supportive and educational environment where clients can acquire insights, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

Take therapy out into the wild

I believe therapy doesn’t have to stay within the walls of an office. Sometimes the most growth happens when we step into uncomfortable situations; those are often the best places to practice coping skills and find healing. Below are examples of where we can take your individual therapy outside of the office:
  • Clothing shopping

  • Attending a movement/exercise class

  • Grocery shopping or cooking

  • Eating a fear food or going to a feared restaurant

  • Attending a support meeting
